Romanca, the owner, used her family estate to build a brand around the humble walnut. Ludus Naturae Kmetija Rečnik is an organic walnut grove and farm that specialises in walnut products. The walnut grove has been certified organic since 1999 and Romanca has been making and growing wonderful and unique products from then on.
Walnuts are harvested every day during harvest. They are then meticulously dried for 3 days with a special cold drying process and then shelled by hand.
Romanca's Potica flavoured granola is inspired by Christmas and Easter traditions in Slovenia when every household bakes potica - a traditional Slovenian dessert with walnut filling. Her granola is a lovely breakfast on the go or at home.
