Davide is a lifelong farmer, beekeeper and truffle hunter and manages La Steccaia Alta farmhouse, located near the beaches of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the medieval villages of the Maremma in southern Tuscany.
Organic saffron is grown in the garden of La Steccaia Alta, located high up. It is hand-picked, sun-dried and packaged in bunches.
The bees are kept far from places which use substances harmful to them and the environment. The bees produce acacia, chestnut, heather, honeysuckle and clover honey, depending on the season. The bees are cared for by a family of beekeepers from two generations who love their land.
The honey is infused with organic saffron grown in Tuscany. The basic element, honey, is a nomadic product because the hives are moved depending on the flowering of acacia and honeysuckle.
