Romanca the owner used her family estate to build a brand around the humble walnut. Ludus Naturae Kmetija Rečnik is an organic walnut grove and eco-farm that specializes in walnut products. Since 1999 the walnut grove has been certified organic and she has been making and growing wonderful and unique products since.
The walnuts are harvested every day during harvest. They are then meticulously dried for 3 days with a special cold drying process. The walnuts are then shelled by hand. Walnuts make an essential part of a Slovenian national dish Gibanica. Romanca is known for her unique products and her flavoured granolas, the gibanica flavoured one is made using the same ingredients: walnut, poppyseed, and apple and your desired dairy product steps in for the cottage cheese. Lovely on the go or breakfast at home.
