Having lived in both the UK & Mauritius since childhood, she has always seen that she had the best of both worlds and was able to appreciate the fine food from basic ingredients and this is what Zepice is. Using natural ingredients, they bring these intense gourmet flavours to your dinner table. Mauritian cuisine is based on the simplest ingredients made into flavoursome dishes.
Her Mauritian Kalia Spice Blend is used to make the dish that bears its name Kalila is A traditional Mauritian festive dish that has a rich and opulent flavour. It used to be kept for Special Occasions but is now more widely cooked. The best way to enjoy a Kalia is when it is slow-cooked, and with the addition of yoghurt and almonds, it will have a rich and unique flavour. It is not a curry, nor a tagine, and the best way to describe the flavours, are unctuous and creamy.
